at the airport

Allow plenty of time to get to the airport, especially if travelling by car, and to find your way to the airline check-in desk. In order to comply with government security requirements and in order to minimise the risk of being late for a flight, passengers are strongly advised to check-in at the airport at least 1 hour before a scheduled flight and 3 hours before a charter flight, and then to proceed through to the Departure Lounges at least 45 minutes before flight departure. The information above should be used as a guide only and can change depending on destination and airline.

In addition, in order to assist in passenger security screening, it is also strongly recommended that a maximum of one piece of hand luggage per person be carried with a maximum weight of 7 kg, the current limit for most airlines. These bags should contain the minimum number of items and no prohibited items such as sharp items (scissors, penknives etc.), to speed the security process.
